How pure hearted are you in Starbound?

Me? I'm totally a great person! I love puttin' up lil' shows up n' around cute lil' villages n' whatnot! Specially fireworks shows! Those are the best! I love how they 'splode inta' so many differen' colors~!

Although, people complain for whatever reason! I dunno why! All i'm doin' is settin' the sky ablaze wit' colors! I get chased 'round a lot. Seems some people don' like the color a' fire too much...

Or napalm. They make such beautiful cracklin' poppin' sounds though!
Too bad thos' Avians didn' seem to like me much after I made their town look so darn pretty with the flames!

I'm peaceful towards everyone unless they attack me first. Only exception is the Hylotl. I kill those fish-scum on sight.

Neutral good, sort of. I've got no compunctions against stealing for a good cause (creating new colonies so humanity can rebuild) but I try to avoid killing NPCs unless they attack me first.

I guess going evil is for me. I don't kill villagers... but I destroy the whole town and leave all of them homeless, and without food or resources, so I guess that's mostly evil.

 

My LP partner won't initiate a fight with a neutral mob. I'll murder the damn thing. I'm the superior race.

 

I'll go with Neutral good. I tend to leave non-hostile mobs alone, however I will steal just about everything that's not nailed down. And even some things that are.

 

I would say I'm pretty much neutral - I only attack that which attacks me, unless it's a wild animal - where I'd gladly hunt it for it's drops. If a humanoid NPC does not attack me, then I have absolutely no reason to attack the NPC - and besides, maybe I'd get a good trade or something. ;D

I generally try to save friendly NPCs from hostiles, too... though I guess that act of goodness counterbalances my hunting passive animals thing, landing me in a state of neutrality.

 

I usually protect villages by setting up defense walls with turrets. I protect merchants too. Don't know why but I feel sorry for USCM troops and prefer to leave them alone. Unless i need a nightstick or a riot shield.

 

Hero I guess. I mean Apex towns may find themselves missing a piano or two, but that's all made up for by the fact that the thought reassignment rooms are left emptied after I sweep through.

Everything (except the pianos) ends up dematerialized and never makes it to my 3D printer.

The time when I scared an Avian female off the top of a tower, and the time where I fired a rocket in the middle of a Glitch town and took myself and a few guards out were both accidents.

Also I blame space drugs for the time I took the roof off every mushroom house in a village.

 

I'm neutral good. I avoid causing trouble, behave myself in villages, hate stealing things from said villages and only do so because I have to, and overall only attack when I have to. But sometimes, I end up accidentally attacking neutrals, and then they'll start attacking me, and I have no choice but to defend myself.

Wait, there are Hylotl villages spawning now?

Damn, girl, you're giving us Novakids a bad reputation! I also loved your accent, I must figure how to replicate it

 

I would probably identify my character as Neutral Good, they won't go out of their way to save someone nor to antagonize them but when necessary they'll do the right thing, it's not about being a hero but just not being a total chode. That said they're definitely not against random acts of pure chaos just because they're a lot of fun, if they could drug a town's water supply to see how crazy things things will get they'd do it, especially if there's some good loot.

 

If I can I will have my character fall in with pirates and bandits. She feels bad about hurting civilians though, who tend to be not much better off. At least the Apex and the Glitch, currently. Probably also enjoys the company of Novakids, given their restless nature. Does not care for the authorities that work to maintain such a mediocre status quo. Probably at least Greenthumb and the Minigknog.

Prefers to raid military installations and prisons and whatnot. That seems kind of anarchist. (Free the prisoners! Unleash your own moral framework on them! Don't take responsibility for anything that comes afterward!) Would fear reciprocation from those factions, but they seem oddly uncaring in this universe. I'm not sure whether to call this neutral good morally, but bad ethically?

I'm just romantic for space vigilantes.

 

I love it how people here starts by declaring themselves neutral good but then proceeds to make further statements that paints them more as Chaotic Neutral than anything else. Shame it isn't a choice in the poll...
seriously, chaotic neutral doesn't necessarily mean you are the Joker. It just means that you do whatever the heck you please, with law and morality holding no sway over you. It means you may do mostly good deeds, but not because it's the right thing to do, but because "eh, why not?". Same with the occasional theft and killing sprees. It's not out of pure evil or ulterior motives, it's because it sounded like good times...
