Ok, based on the new information it would seem that planets are identified alphabetically. In the demonstration they showed a planet called DAIVS-II which is named after it's parent system and star Delta Aura IV Satellite II.

So this brings up an interesting question how many planets can such a categorical system support. This is of course speculation but assuming that the names of the systems and planets are alphabetical Ex. (DA) then that would mean that there could be no more than 676 (26*26) Stars. Based on this if each sun had an average of 2 planets that would mean approximately 1372 primary planets, 3 planets 2028, 4 planets 2704, and 5 planets would mean 3380 primary planets.
Then we have to consider the satellites of each of these planets and subtract the non visitable planets

Of course there is the possibility of another higher level of categorization and my math skills are horrid so please correct me if I'm in error.

What are your thoughts on the matter.

actually, I did a little equation that is the number of coordinates for each category (there are 5 different digits for z,y and z) times 10, all the numbers possible. So (5x10)x(5x10)x(5x10)=125000. But, since we don't know if the coordinates brings you to a solar system or a planet, and if the planets coordinates also include the satellites, it could be well over that number.

And perhaps each galaxy has it's own grid, making the total amount even higher.

    We can't really know yet,atleast a 100?

I am sorry to say that your maths is a bit wrong. 5 numbers means that we have numbers between 1-99999, or 10^5. Multiply them together and we get 10^15 places. But i think that only the first four numbers actually matter, the rest seems to tell us where in the starsystem we are, so we would have 10^12 starsystems. That is a lot.

There are 12.667 quadrillion planets able to be generated within the game currently, with 422.22 quadrillion planned.
