How long will you spend on your starting planet?

I'll take as long as I need to get a grip on the game, after that, as long as I feel necessary to have a basic start.

It's not like you'll only have one starter planet every playthrough....

 

I don't know. Maybe a second? I'm planning to visit every planet in the game.

That was my first plan, but then I realized that sitting on throne made of dirt, stone and copper (or w/e is lowest grade) ore doesn't look so awesome. If exploit and enslave, do it on rich planet

 

I will stay there until I've enjoyed of everything that planet can offer me.

 

About 5 minutes.
Step 1. Pickaxeeeeee.
Step 2. Coaaaaaaaal.

I plan to spend considerable time exploring the first world learning the ins and outs of the basic systems. I want to gather enough resources to be able to fly to several new planets if necessary in case I find some that doesn't inspire me. plus I would like to craft some better equipment prior to traveling onward.

 

I would get off my first planet as soon as possible. I'll randomly pick coordinates using excels =Randbetween(-9999,9999) for each of the x,y,z coordinates. I'll roll that once and that will be my homeworld.
In fact, i'll do it now : my homeworld will be: 9933, -7085, 3189
And you can quote me on that!

Edit: That is assuming the coordinate system is based on x,y,z and ranges between -9999 and 9999

 

...why'd you post the co-ordinates on the forums... I now predict that your planet will be the first to go.

I would assume you wouldnt spend very long on your home planet as its being annihilated by an invading alien force. (If i recall right, they plan to use the 'homeworld' as a tutorial map to teach you the basics).

Edit: But if you mean the first world you set down on? Probably a really really really long time.

 

As long as it would take to eliminate all sentient life on the planet and dig up every single block. Think Independence Day, with the Aliens (In this case, me) winning.

 

It is likely i will stay on the planet and make a nice little home then expand and use it as the center of my empire... and in that i will likely consume every available resourse the planet has to offer then i will move my city far into the sky and ya leaveing the old one to stay there and be reclaimed be nature just so i can charge a less then resonable prise for tours and even more to obtain resources from it then i will take my army and take over the universe slowly but thoroughly doing the same to each planet i find however i will make a underwater city in big ocean planets (Think a nice version of rapture ) so ya that basicly discribes what i will do

 

Depents on the kind of the planet and how much stuff there is to do for me

Much like I do in most sandbox games (Minecraft, Terraria etc,) I will spend TO LONG on my house, and probably end up building some kind of Town or something.

 

I will leave it a smoldering stepping stone on my path to conquest.

 

Long enough until I can get enough bomb to make dissapear of the face of the universe! Yes, that's what I'll do... *evil laugh*
