Depends on the type of planet. Ill do everything i can on it and then move on like a tick or something... draining the planet dry

I will try to milk it and stay on the first planet for as long as I can just to make going to other planets a big deal for me. I'll make it more special than it is. Unless it's an ice planet, because then I will move IMMEDIATELY. I hate ice and snow. Every time I would start a new world in Minecraft and I spawned in a snow biome I would either escape as far away as possible or just start a new world out of laziness. I just hate having a coat of snow over everything I build.

Till I get bored or I need something from another planet.

Or till I have obtained every resource from that particular planet and leave it behind like a dried up husk. As if I was some kind of parasite.:V

I don't see the point in questions like this when there is absolutely no way to know, we haven't played it. :/

That depends on how long it takes me to fill the entire surface of the planet with industrialized water plants and buildings...
    So probably a good while.

Depends on whether or not I'm playing multiplayer or not. During my single player run I'll be spending a lot of time there, exploring and getting a feel for the game.

    That made me think
Instead of finding fuel on the planet, what if I blew it up, so I had nothing to orbit, and then drifted until I got sucked into orbit of some other planet

That would be hilarious, mine to much, or blow up to much, and your ship drifts away...
    And you get Stranded:confused:

My assumption is that the starting planet will be the same every playthrough (according to race, anyways). The devs said they had some planets pregenerated for story-type missions, and I'd assume the starting planet would be the same way. You know, like a tutorial type of thing. It'll probably exist solely to give the player a feel for the game before they go out exploring.

Long enough to forge a pair of hand axes, a large 2-handed range weapon (laser rifle-esque preferable), and gather the fuel necessary to move on to the next planet.

I think it'll depend on how long the Starting Planet fascinates me & compels me to explore it + how long it takes me to get the hang of the game & controls + how long I keep finding useful stuff + how long it takes me to make a dummy base to make do with till I can Colonize a Level 100 Planet VERY late into the Game. :) (Having a large powerful Lvl 100 Planet Colony will make me feel like a totally Badass Warrior.)

Probably just start making it fairly hospitable, then I'll move on to nab other planets' treasures to enrich my own, ultimately making my planet one entire civilization across its entire surface.

Hmm, I wonder how one would go about blowing up a planet...

P.S. (OMG, I just realized this, 14 words, 77 letters, 77/14 equals 5.5, which rounds to 6... BETA COMING THIS MONTH!!!)
