As soon as I start the game, I'm going to google some coordinates for a level 100 planet and speed loot the planet (or die and rage a lot.)

Sounds like you might be wasting a perfectly good game there. "Ninja looting" a level 100 planet, if possible, right off the bat seems like a good way to kill the experience.

I want to enjoy the game and soak up as much of it's pure godly goodness as I can. It may take me a while.

On a second playthrough I may decide to burgle a lvl100 planet; but I'm a fan of enjoying a game the first time through in the way the Devs designed it. On my first playthrough of Terraria I built all the armor types and explored all the areas. On subsequent playthroughs I went straight from nothing to gold to shadow to molten, and never ever, ever went to the UJ area.

I'm not sure yet... Hopefully around a month or more after I have started playing. And hopefully a level 100 planet has turrets all around and armored soldiers standing around guarding accessible areas, shooting anything in sight. Well, I hope it at least is very hard to dominate, I want to use everything I can think of in order to succeed.

If I could simply sneak into the good stuff and get back out on a level 100 planet, I wouldn't see it as challenging enough. So they have to be the most advanced Tech level in the game, and have the ability to sense movement and cloaking devices etc.

Please, they're is probably going to be so many mobs once you land, or some sort of defense like a giant space butterfly or giant squid cockblocking you from landing.

Just build your way up to more difficult planets. I highly doubt that there will be a Lv. 100 planet early in the game. You only have to set one foot on that planet and you'll spontaneously combust with you Lv. 1 gear. That would kill the fun right away, wouldn't it? (pun intended)

Next to that, these planets will probably very far away in the Starbound galaxy - the same structure like many other games have when it comes to certain places with a certain difficulty. You wouldn't just rush in, get your "Super Uber Space Mah Lazah 9001 of Awesomeness" and get the f_ck out. Imagine all kind of low levels with maxed out weapons really early in the game - that would just ruin it.

I will go there when I will get all the end-game stuff.

All assumptions. I won't know when and if I'll go to such planet as I didn't really play the game yet and I don't know whether it will be worth it and how hard it will be. Maybe even the most lethal planets will be easily conquerable and the game will be easy, maybe they'll be a horrific challenge even when the player has carefully grinded set of the most powerful stuff available. Maybe they will require powerful equipment. So far it's just making guesses.

It might plausibly be like that, especially if the Devs anticipated people like me considering Colonizing & Homeworlding a Difficulty 100 Planet, so such a thing would be an extra hard *ahem* I mean 'special' thing to do.

Attempting a Level 100 planet would be nigh-impossible if you fly there at the game's opening, I'm assuming. For comparison, it'd probably be like, in Terraria, if you fought Skeletron Prime with only the starter equipment and 100 HP. And I have a feeling that Starbound as a whole is going to get tougher than Terraria's hardmode. I'm also betting that looting such a planet won't be quite so simple as finding a chest near the starting point and getting the hell out of dodge. They'll probably be hidden rather deep in the planet. If that's the challenge you want, then hey, more power to you.

It would take me forever to get to the end-game planets due to my RPG-like behavior (Explore every nook and cranny.) There is also the fact that I would probably get distracted by all the shiny new things that I could build or capture. I would burn away months of my life on capturing creatures alone. haha

Planning everything I'm gonna do in a game kinda spoils all the fun. Personally I'll go wherever the wind takes me.

I agree, i didn't consider that. I'll have so much useless stuff before i go there it's likely to be a easier than predicted.

My question is will you even be able to choose? What if you have to land on a planet to find out its qualities? I can't see either way making a huge difference in the game but if you had to go to a planet to find out about it, how are you going to survive a level 100 planet at level 1? Also, it's been said that even the highest geared character will have trouble in a level 100 planet, what I'm wondering is: How will a character grow after later patches to the game? Will there be level 200 planets when the new gear comes out?

Well when i said "Grab something and RUUUUUN i meant some insanly toxic death weed growing right next to the starting area or a patch of acid grass either of those will have some use... Right?
Or i can sell them for pixels! I bet the weed is worth 1000's!
Yes i know it spoils the game but for me the start of a sandbox is usually the most desprate part (Anybody who experienced their first night in Minecraft/Terraria without any internet support would know it)and a single powerful weapon then would give me a whole new first experience

The first time I play Terraria.I was like what do I have to do how do I build a wall? So I wasted time to find out.I didn't realised and it was night then zombies came and I ran in a cave and tryed to seal in with background walls and I saw zombies going trught them and I was:eek: then I died and I was:fireball:.But then I figured out how to put wall and then the game became awesome. So I expect Starbound to be 10*better than terraria with all the space stuff
