    Sadrhino Yeah, You!

Can you reset planets on the mac?
I've deleted characters, but, when they beam down to the planet, it still has stuff from past characters on it Basically I'd like a completely fresh start.

    Delete your universe file.

it should be the same for both windows mac and Linux all you have to do is delete your universe file and restart starbound it should reset everything in your universe.
however ive only don't this on windows so you may want to quickly Google it see if someone else has asked this before.

It works the same on Mac as it does on Windows.

    Sadrhino Yeah, You!

Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't find the actual files anywhere on the mac. Anyone know where they are stored?

In your Starbound folder, there's a folder named giraffe_storage, and within that there is a folder named universe. The folder named universe is your universe folder.

If you want to get at the folders Sadrhino you are going to need to access your Library folder which is now hidden by default on OS X. You can still get to it, you just need to use the Finder "Go To Folder" option from the "Go" menu by typing "~/Library" in the dialog box that pops up. Then you need to find the Application support folder then your Steam folder then the steamapps folder then your common folder and in that folder should be your Starboard game folder. Once you have got into your starboard folder you need to open the giraffe_storage folder and finally after all that you will see your universe folder. Delete it and starbound will in theory give you a new universe to work with when you next start it up. Be forewarned that I tried this a few times when the current stable was still a nightly and found that starbound would not allow me to do this without deleting old characters and creating new ones. Not sure if this is still an issue under OS X for the stable version. So as always make backup copies of your player and universe folders. Both of those folders will be within the giraffe_storage folder. If you have any questions just private message me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
