How do you pronounce 'Hylotl'

I think of it as Hi-lote-ull.

 

I don't think "Dth" would be a syllable by itself.

 

It could be a syllabic. Think about writing the word student as studnt. The syllables would be stud-nt. That say, syllabics can't really happen right off of vowel sounds. That would more likely be written as "de-udth-read" or so.

 

I just say High-lot-le

I think everyone got it by now, as Hi Lot Ull, not sure why you would make the l silent, seems harder to pronounce, aren't they based on that mexican fish thing? Axolotl or something.

 

he-yol-tol Is how I pronounce it. Screw it, I'll be different.

I accidentally capitalized 'IS' which probably made my post sound weird when people read it.. It was because I always spelt it as Hyoltol instead of hylotl. So I ended up with that.

 

It would only be pronounced that way if it were spelled heyaltall
