How do you pronounce 'Hylotl'

I always pronounced it Hoi-Tol, and that saying it like that is like second nature to me ;_;

 

Eee-Lott. I ignore the L at the end. That's how i spell it in french, anyway.

 

I and my compadres pronounce it HI-O-TULL
I went and checked google translate and compared it to axolotl.
Sounded like He-yodel. It does seem to have connections with the axolotl.
Either way they both sound cool and fit the race.

I swear, how do I always read these things wrong?
I thought the damned L at the end was an I.
Now I can't unlearn the I.

You know, we've been completely ignoring the question of whether this is how the race refer to themselves or if it is just the Human adaptation. I suspect we're all wrong and the best approximation of the name via our limited sound production equipment requires shouting it underwater. The fact that this tends to lead to drowning partly explains why there are so few people who work as Hylotl translators.

Hey! I was the one who came up with the name for the Hylotl, and I pronounce it as High-Lottle (rhyming with bottle.) Feel free to pronounce it your own way if you prefer that though.
The name is an amalgamation of Hylidae (a family of frogs which contains tree frogs,) and Axolotl!

My friend and I pronounce it 'h-yol-tll'. Like he-yull-tull, I guess. They used Google Translate and we assumed it Swedish.

So I was hungry for some Skittles while I was playing, and then I thought of how Hylotl was pronounced. I swear I wasn't drunk, but I convinced myself it sounded like "Hittle," so I've said it like that since. Hylotl=Skittles.

 

I pronounce them "sushimen".
