How do you pronounce 'Hylotl'

Every time i try to say Hylotl, I end up sounding like a complete idiot, so how do you guys pronounce it?
Of course, it's kinda hard to hear over text, but try to type it like:

Hi·Lot·Ull

Now that is how I pronounce it, but it sounds rediculous with my accent >_<
So yeah... If you think you can type a different way of saying it, then that would help me out very much

 

I think they are based on the axolotl [ak-suh-lot-l].
So based on that I think [hi-lot-l] makes sense. (So yeah, I agree with your pronunciation )

 

I'm pretty sure I heard the devs say it that way too.

I say
hī·LÔT·əl

(which is basically exactly what you guys put with the emphasis on the middle syllable (and with correct phonetic pronunciation/spelling))

 

You could choose to accent the last syllable, instead of the middle one:

(hy - LOT - ull) -> (hy - lah - TULL)

 

Hi (as in Hello)
Lot (as in a lot)
Le (as in the le at the end of LITTLE)

Most likely on the diphthong so on Hi /haɪ/

Because English teachers are "eccentric" and teach you pretty much everything you don't need to know. Bloody English teachers...

 

IPA - the International Phonetic Alphabet (the weird symbols I've been using) appears to be university level material for some weird reason.

Hrm, I've been saying it Hi - Ott - Ull. I dunno why.
