How do you organize your 1-9 keys (item selection)

I'm curious to know what items people typically bind to their keys? Do you have a favorite way of organizing the stuff in your 1-9 keys? I'm mainly starting this thread to see if other people have better thought out methodologies for placing their stuff that I can adopt :)

I'm kinda OCD about mine, I guess. I use the following layout:

    1) 2-H Weapon
    2) Ranged Weapon (hunting bow or gun)
    3) Pickaxe
    4) Axe
    5) Hoe (though this spot gets used by materials during building)
    L) Flashlight
    R) Shield (I usually use 2H weapons, but on occasion I switch to 1H, so this is useful sometimes.)
    6) varies
    7) Bread
    8) Bandages
    9) Wood panels for making jump-off points while mining
    0) Torches

The reason I put my flashlight in (L) is because whatever item I happen to be using (say #3, Pickaxe), all I have to do is hit that item's key again and I switch to flashlight. This is the MAIN thing I'm curious to know what other people do. I'm guessing there's some interesting ways of using (L) and (R) that I haven't thought of.

That's 2 people with shortswords in both L and R. Something I never even considered before. Does this give you the ability to attack very quickly?

I like the reach and damage of the big slow weapons so I mostly don't concern myself with right and left hand. Mostly, the way it's arranged, the items I use the most are in easy reach of my fingers on my left hand. The ones that I only use frequently when I am not in imminent danger or only under special circumstances are in the 6-0 slots. I don't put food in my slots anymore. It just sits in my inventory until I need it.

Best DPS combo you can probably get. 2 impervium shortswords give you 6666 when dual wielding.
