How Do You Guys Like These Daily Updates!?

They prevent from information starvation. Which is already bad enough without a beta date.

 

I merged these two threads since they're pretty much exactly the same thing.

Please use the search feature before posting a new thread and look at the front page of the forum in question.

 

I like the updates, with the sudden increase in information coming out, it makes it look like they were slacking off before, though understandably the majority of the stuff they were doing before (mainly coding) wasn't something they could really talk about and have people understand it.

like "I did this this and this, and now this works!" and our response would be "uhh... k"

but now we are at "Added 1000+ Items, SCREENSHOTS OF AWESOME" and we go "YAAAAY"

The phrasing was different, but the other one was on the front page AFAIK. Don't worry about it.

 

Starbound devs and RoR devs are completely seperate.

Hopoo and Pastuleio are the two devs for RoR

He needs to keep going with daily updates! I love seeing all the new things. It also keeps everyone on the same page constantly.

I'm a bit here and there with the updates. On one hand, it's awesome, but on the other, people are going to start expecting constant daily updates, and if the devs get busy and can't post one day, a month or so down the line, people will start raging. There's also a small risk of people losing interest because of all the info about the game when they want some stuff to be a surprise.

 

I'm just mildly concerned they're eventually going to run out of information to give out daily and soon resort to weekly updates, then back to monthly, etc.

However, I'm going to set my concerns aside; I respect and trust their decisions and I'm grateful they did such a decision.

 

Hey. We're getting something. Personally, I think updates every day or so is a better idea than the roadmap. More visual things to drool over.

If Starbound were a cake, it's like they're done the bulk of the work and are now adding the frosting. Some part of me wants them to keep adding more delicious frosting, but I also want my goddamn cake. Daily updates make me think thoughts like this.

Hopefully he said that ironically. Seeing how the whole fan base of this game loves the updates.
I hope they don't stop either, or at least come once a week, rather than everyday, so they're not pulling at straws.

 

Personally I am grateful for these updates.

Yes, there is that issue...
He needs to establish a schedule for updates; something consistent. Even weekly updates. It would certainly help smooth over the erratic update system, and the correspondingly erratic attitude on the boards here.
