How Do You Guys Like These Daily Updates!?

It's because this community is like "What the hell is happening? No updates! Are they sleeping? Is the game even developing? I am dissapointed that there has been said only this and that." There has been so much of this that they want to give people what they are asking for and there we have it, daily updates on what's going on, now nobody can ever say that nothing is happening

 

I'm really grateful about it.

 

Frequent updates make me happier, but the only news I'm waiting for are in Steam. I'll be satisfied only when there'll be Starbound in Early Access.

 

I'm feeling a lot less impatient for the game now that we're getting some details of what's going on. Nobody likes an information drought after all.

 

They saw that many people where dissapointed in the lack of updates.

I wish they would have done this from the beginning. But there are inconveniences that appear when you start to do that, so I don't blame them.

For instance, Tiy could have decided to take a week off and some people would be annoyed about that.

 

I doubt they had a lot to mention from the beginning.

"Kyren wrote 1000 lines of code today." ;D

 

It could just be that they have more time to devote to keeping us in the loop; or failing that are finally feeling 'ready' to speak up more about the progress. I think it is a combination of the two (well and the demands of the community perhaps as well) that have lead to this. Whether it will continue remains to be seen of course.

Personally I think the state of development behind the scenes had to reach some sort of critical mass before they felt like opening up a bit more.

 

Maybe they have more time to update us now that we've thrown our preorder money at them and they can afford to hunker down on the game and not spend so much time working non Starbound jobs. (I'll lump them all together)

I love the updates, but now I'm starting to feel sad because I think that the daily updates aren't enough. Now I think that I need hourly. Otherwise I'm going to die. Simple as that.
