Hi. I have my nightly beta activated since a long time ago. But my friend doesn't get the option to opt in for either unstable and nightly. How do we activate it for her? Thanks in advance!
Howdy, I copypasta'd this from the reddit sticky... It's easy to opt-in to the nightly branch, but READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO IT. Opting in to the nightly *will wipe your universe, and it *will wipe your characters. Before opting in, make sure to backup your 'player' and 'universe' folders elsewhere (if you want to keep them). If you still want to test out the nightly build, here's how to do it: Right-click on Starbound in your Steam library, and hit "Properties". Click the "Betas" tab. In the "Betas" tab, hit the drop-down menu, select "nightly", and confirm by pressing "OK". Starbound should begin updating to the nightly branch.
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately none of the betas appear in my friends beta-list like it does on mine! *poke* Does any one have a clue on what could be wrong? How do you get them to show up in the beta-list?
Found this on another thread, it helped me. Make sure you set steam filter to view all games and not just installed games. "Starbound Unstable" - is now a separate game
