    Hi all, its me again

Just wanted to gets some ideas on how people go about starting a new character. What type of things do you do straight away?(other than the tutorial and quests)

I make a good base on the starter planet with my first character and make a storage room full of essential materials and armours/weapons to try and fast track character creation.

Anyways keen to see how the community plays their game, hope to see some feedback/replies soon

    Rock on awesome people :headbanging:

If I made another character, I'd play hardcore. I'd love to see how far I could get in the universe before being taken down. It makes each moment more significant. Each adventure more important. It allows you to be more in the moment rather than just hoping you find something. When you play casual and you die, it's not really that big of a deal. It's kind of a "meh" thing.

I've got one casual player of every race going first as a sort of "forebearer" or "progenitor" who will be the characters that I spend my time colonizing places and building weird stuff with.

After I've gotten them all through the boss battles and their ships are all upgraded, I'll start hardcore characters to follow in their footsteps and struggle to survive.

As for the starter planet, my intention is to use graph paper to draw out each of the progenitors by pixel and make statues of them once they're at top tier with their favorite gear. :D

I haven't messed with it much, but it certainly makes the game way more intense.

I have a Casual character start out by making a base on the Home Planet, and get all the higher tier crafting tables set up so my Normal and Hardcore characters have a fast start.

Seems like a trend having the casuals pave the way for the hardcores

They add hunger back in on normal I may make a normal character. Generally though:

I think of an idea for a character and then make it to be part of the world, personality included. This could range from behavior, likes/dislikes, reason for existing, back history, a name I enjoy, or even just fiddling around with the creator a bit and see something that looks nice.

Really it just depends on my mood or what I was thinking at the time of creation.:)

Well I just mainly try to live as long as I can while doing things for people and mining. Nothing else is really at a priority cuz I am lucky to last 2 minutes alone.

    Depends on what I'm doing.

If it's Hardcore, I just go about grinding as carefully as possible. I suck at video games.

I usually play on the mode where you drop ores, so the first thing I do is clear an area for shelter and storage, on lush planets I use whatever building materials are there.

I dig down, mostly looking for stuff for the first upgrades and tools. I'll usually find a weapon down that that will hold me over until I craft on.

Well first off I make a character I actually would enjoy playing. Nothing spoils a situation like disliking the character you've made, once that is done I go about making their respective Fortress of Doom, Underwater Lair or Holy Chapel. After that, loot time, get all the goodies that make the character look right and then rest on laurels

I personally don't like making multiple characters. I make one character that I'm satisfied and conquer the universe!

I normally play normal, and occasionally use admin to skip the tutorial (I know this stuff already!)

Whats the command to skip tutorial?

Unfortunately, there is no one command.
    /admin
    /spawnitem corefragmentore 20
(An a few other spawn-ins, as needed)
    /admin

...There might be a command to auto-complete quests, but I'm not sure what that command is.

When in admin mode , SAIL will accept commands without the items in your inventory . No need to spawn all that stuff.
