How Do I Mod to Add Stuff

I am trying to find ways to add more fun ways to play. Since its been a long times for an update I am making my own expansion/mod for it. I need help though this mod will add classes, enemies, items, and bosses. if you can help me and would like to work on the project that would be much appreciated.
