Closed How do I get Steam to recognize me playing the game?

To actually be able to play the game, I need to launch it from the starbound.exe file (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\win32). I cannot play it in any other way, this means that the launcher is a no-go for me.

If I launch the game from starbound.exe, Steam won't recognize me playing. Is there any way to change this?

to get steam to recognize it you have to launch from steam. then as long as you have the Starbound Launcher up it'll show. Try keeping the launcher up, then running the game itself from the .exe

 

Thanks! Downside is that I'll get the additional memory usage, but until my problem is fixed, I'll have to play like that :alien:
