How did you find out about Starbound?

I think there was an article posted on the Terraria Online community site? I don't remember exactly.

 

Pretty much Redigit's announcement was my initial source.

Didn't bother to see what Starbound is/was at first--until I read more about it. Now I impatiently wait.

 

I was too busy playing Terraria to notice at first until my brother told me that Terraria was being dropped 'cause all the devs had real life stuff happening.
I looked up the post in the Terraria forums and found a link to this place when someone mentioned that a person on their team was developing another game. To be honest, I really don't know much about the devs other than the fact that I like their games and that they're awesome. "Know" being as much as any forum lurker can know from link jumping.

Steam news on Terraria. Nearly right after I read that Terraria was not receiving any more updates.

 

I read about it on gamespy when they first announced the game.

 

Steam is the best source for all your news needs! (Sort of.)

 

I, thankfully, received information from Redigit's final public announcement on Terrariaonline when he mentions the game.

It didn't take much detective skills to find out that game's name from the rage posts of those that were like "pfft Fine! I'm gonna play Starbound since it's sooo much better than this game now."

Thanks haters! wouldn't have found out about starbound as quickly without you.
(note: this will be the only time I am this grateful, haters... the only time)

 

Somebody posted a link to Tiy's first tweet about it on /r/terraria. As soon as its name was out there was an /r/starbound, so I subscribed to that (and forgot about it for ages, haha).

when i heard that terraria was no longer being updated i fell into a deppression.
then i learned that development of starbound started.

 

Heard about it when Redigit announced he was going to flake out.

 

Heard about it starting up back while lurking on the Terraria forums.
A few months later, I decided to see if the project got off the ground, and I'm glad it did.

I monitored a few indie titles of interest, but Starbound is so far the only one that seems to be shaping up this last year.

 

I stumbled across a mention of it on the Terraria forums and decided to check it out

 

i remember the day i found out.
i was throwing money at the screen but nothing was happening.

i ran out of notes.
and then i had to save up for a month in order to buy a new screen.

 

Terraria news, but not on Steam.

After me and some friends grinded Terraria we were craving more sand box games and we came across Terraria.

 

I was looking up stuff about terraria and I came across some random forum with a post labeled "Starbound: Terraria-firma". I got enthralled by this game we are all discussing right now

 

you do realise "Terraria" and "Terraria"
are the same game right?

I was destined to find Starbound by Fate.

 

I was having a dream of my dream game and it was called Starbound, so I looked it up and fell in love. No, seriously, that's what happened.
