How deep have you spiraled into obsession with Starbound?

Checking the forums and devs blog everyday for updates and cool stuffs, i'm abstaining from Starbound for now because there is no quest

 

Hmm, I uninstalled starbound back in february and I check these forums once every month or so to see if it will ever be worth installing again. It probably wont

Only 25 hours in Starbound and had it since release if someone can beat me in that then my hat off to you.

I will wait for the game to come out of Beta and into a more finished state with at least the base functions complete.

 

I have around 15 hours in starbound. Steam shows 45, because apparently having the launcher open counts as playing.

I've spent way more time on the forum talking to people than playing the game!

 

Waiting for phase 3 or completion. I'm proud of myself because I'm actually following through with it too. Only played 72 minutes, almost all of it being tweaking performance settings, (that was back when I was on my laptop and it couldn't handle it.)

 

So you're basically the admin of a forum of a videogame that you played a little more than one hour? Are you serious?

 

I dont see the relevance. Admin/mod doesnt mean oracle on all things Starbound related, it means they keep the forums clean and orderly.
Why would they need to play Starbound in order to do that?

 

I went down it, then came out the other end, right now the game isn't long enough to play more than around 50 hours of.

 

I would have understood if some basement-3k hours played-neckbeard weirdo was whiteknighting as hard as many mods and admins (very unprofessional on their behalf, but it goes without saying). Now it seems to me that even the people who whiteknight the most have played the game for a very short amount of time, this makes me laugh very hard.

 

Well, there might be some people that acknowledge that the game isnt finished currently, without getting all panicky or mad.
I, for example do love starbound, but havent played in quite a while because i am waiting for the bigger updates currently being worked on.
And while i wait, i have tons of other things to play, anime to watch, and other stuff to do.

 

Yep. Don't see how that's relevant in the slightest, since I was an admin before the game was even available to be played for more than an hour.

I check these forums a lot, sometimes answer steam post that are not "This game sucks, even EA is not as bad as CF". Tend to enjoy talking to my clan on here. Also play the nightlies cause I find testing things fun.

 

I'm like most of the others here... I love the game, but have been playing less and less while waiting for the next version. I do check these forums on a pretty much daily basis, though. There are some good people here.

When I do play these days, it's generally when I have 30 minutes to kill before I do something else. Starbound is great for that.

 

Yeah once you beat it there is not much else to do unless you want to collect stuff are hear how much everything reminds florans of "stabss" by making a new character. Looking forward to that changing so there is more variety of what you can do then the quest system whenever that will be (can not recall if all quest or just story quest are at/after release.)

I've come to a stage where I refuse to play it until Beta is over, because I got so sick of it, playing like, 300 hours

 

I kinda want to build a new computer first. I've seized playing on my laptop until either the combat mechanics are fully fleshed out or I have a new PC.
Also, I need to get a job so I can pay for my guild to gtfo Terraria and play Starbound... Terraria's combat is so flat and empty T^T
