How deep are the worlds?

Infinite would be a bit boring, I think there should be exciting at the end.

No, well maybe hell, I'm thinking a void into a mysterious new planet though, something different than Terraria.

 

I know, i know. I just said Hell for an example. Like there might be something like a different planet.

 

I don't think Planets should have Infinteness in any direction, because i've read Tiy start worrying after Player Feedback that some may succumb to the temptation to Camp 1 Planet forever & treat it like Terraria. Tiy wants us to explore & see lots of things in the Starbound Universe, not act like a Tree.

Infiniteness might be ok for rare special non-planet stuff, like Weird Alternate Dimensions, or the Darkbound Void, or the like... but not anywhere that could be treated Terraria-like. People have Terraria itself for that.

Agreed, since you can basically just explore one planet and steal infinite resources until your game crashes.

 

Ugh! Infinite planets? PEOPLE PEOPLE!... This is not Minecraft... Mine mine mine mine mine craft then mine mine mine... This is S.E.E ( Space Exploration Extreme ).
WE must explore the every universe of possibilities! There are near limitless possibilities of places to go to and S.E.E. I'm not saying we should force players to explore. Just not encourage camping in a single planet. Infact! I shall make a corporation based off space exploration, tech and training. ^.^

Uhg, Screw infinite planets.
I want to mine into a planets core and plant a doomsday device and run.

And dump that lava on a forest world.

In wide, there will be Infinite planets, and planets that are not infinite. The not infinite planets will loop, so when you go to one side you will appear in another.
In deep, nah. I dont think they will be infinite. It will vary depending on planet i guess.

I remember Chippo like Shippo of Inuyasha ^^

 

Anyway, even if Chippos would try to drill right to the deep core of an active planet, they'd be transformed into popcorn as temperature increases with overall pressure and lava streams become legions.

They'd discover huge rooms of emptyness with billions of geodes or fall into oceans of lava. But this only with heavy machinerie because stone become harder and harder while we approach the core of a world.

And for dead worlds well... It would be easier to drill but harder to explore because of the lake of atmosphere.

So anyway a natural limit for deep explorations can be found naturaly.
