How can you export a planet from Koala version to Giraffe?

I have no idea how to do that, but it seems to be possible. The world generation have changed between those 2 builds, but I don't see why exporting one of planets from the older build to the newest Giraffe's universe wouldn't be doable. There are plenty of unused coordinates after all.
However there are no longer separate galaxy sectors with planets of peculiar tier like it used to be (Alpha, Delta ect). What do you need to do to bypass this change?

I had a long break from Starbound, but wanted to see whats new together with my friends, however everything we have build is unaccesable. It took lots of lots of hours, so it would be a great disappointment to see it all goes wasted. Have anyone more experienced than me in that matter got any idea what needs to be done in order to make it works?

You are better off starting from scratch. Porting the world is only possible assuming the formats haven't changed. but then you hit other issue of blocks or items that are now changed or gone.

 

Yeah, unless someone figures out one hell of a mod, that planet is staying in the Koala universe.

Take this opportunity to rebuild bigger and better. That's what I did.
