    Simple bread heals a flat amount per click and you can spam the hell out of it, making it a lot faster then most (all?) HP regen foods. =)

    Wheat also multiplies quickly, often dropping more than 1 seed per harvested plant.
    You get get a huge wheat plantation in no time and when you carry hundreds of breads, "wasting" some is no issue.

    I am working on a mod for a better bandage. I'm trying to get my horribly made bandage sprite to not float int he characters hand.

    You can heal using beds, using bandages (made with plant fibers), using Nanobandages (made from a bandage and 50 pixels after using the portable pixel printer), by eating certain foods, or by using Red Stimpacks.

    At first, I thought that's the way they would do it....so that if you found a tent it'd be something good. It should be like that, I agree.

    I disagree with this. Like all decorative elements, bed material should be aesthetic. If they healed a percentage health, though, that would fix the main issue.

    That said, I wouldn't mind a placed healing item that heals you faster when "using" it.

    Beds aren't merely decoration. They're more decoration right now because they're useless and don't scale. and I'd be fine with a percentage, too.

    red stims and burgers. plus certain other magical foods i guess.

    Bandages are worthless, and beds are worthless. they're pretty much a waste of your time from beta sector onwards

    When I heal, I plant as many seeds as I can on my home planet, build a shelter and bed and go do something else (like stuff my face with food). When I come back, I'm totally healed and my plants are usually close to being ready to sow!!

    Bandages aren't completely worthles, it's easy to aquire them in hungreds and i use them to heal minor wounds, when stims and burgers would be a waste.

    I'm feeling stingy about nanowraps, tough, their healing upgrade over bandages seems too little for their cost.
    Bandage has "amount" : 0.1450 and nanowrap - "amount" : 0.25, so youre paying 50 pix for additional 2/3 of a bandage heal.

    Beds or Interrogation Tables - I prefer the Interrogation Tables, they heal pretty quickly

    Well, with the endgame equipment it is advised to use food for healing. Copper Key Pies, Apple Pies, Hamburgers, they all give alot of regeneration and aren't costly at all. Your chef from the spawner tends to have everything you need for it.

    Hamburgers. That is all.

    My most go-to way to heal is to make Burgers. Seriously. All you need is Raw Alien Meat and Bread (made from wheat at a cooking table...which is created at a crafting table). There are other foods that replenish too, refer to the wikis for that. It's way better than those slow, weak Bandages, and it's easily replenished unlike Red Stimpacks (which are great) or Medical Kits. Forget sleeping in beds/tents, that's painfully slow.

    Once you're in high armor your only more reliable way to heal is to use good foods. I don't have the exact numbers but either foods that require you to cook slow growing plants in general (ie. Avesmingo) or that has 3 to 4 ingredients.

    Healing in this game is totally broken. To heal with bandages (the only easily obtainable healing source) from max health would take 17 bandages. It takes 5 seconds for a bandage to fully heal the measly 30hp they heal. So to fully heal would take almost 2 minutes of healing, wait 5 seconds, healing, wait 5 seconds. There are stim packs and nanowrap bandages, but these only cut it in half, it's still quite ridiculous with 500 hps (max gear).

    I recommend cooking hamburgers if you have the recipe, they give great healing and fill you up a lot! :)

    They really need to make all healing percentile based.

    Bandages = 25% health over 5 seconds
    Nanowraps = 40% health over 5 seconds
    Stims = 50% health over 5 seconds
    Medpacks = 25% health immediate
    All Beds/Sleeping Items = 2-4% health per second. (So getting to 100% takes between 30 seconds and a minute, if you're on the verge of death)

    And then cooked foods should probably all be set at about bandage level give or take, 'cause they also have extra effects and refill your hunger much faster.

    It'd be the easiest way for them to balance it all, as in the AP system they were using before you only had 100HP regardless of level, so bandages were meant to heal about 25-30% of your health at every point in the game. I see no reason to not make them continue doing that.

    I'd also much prefer percentile healing on beds rather than higher tier beds healing more, as having higher tier beds heal more is going to interfere with light RP (taking a tent around with you planet side, instead of an impervium bed, would be completely foolish if the impervium bed healed twice as fast), and interior design for people building bases (oh a wood bed or hay pile would look better in that tree house you're building? Well if you're okay with having the lowest tier of healing, I guess).
