Hotbar glitchy as heck

What's up with the hotbar?! While I'm kind of getting used to this new one it seems horribly glitchy.

Case in point:

I've got 107 salves in the L box of the third couple of slots on the right.
I pick up a stack of 3 from a storage box and drop them into my inventory. The 107 salves remains at 107 so I drag and drop the 3 onto the stack of 107 on the hotbar but instead of combing it replaces the stack of 107 with the stack of 3 and puts the 107 stack in my inventory (next to the stack of 3). Then I have to drag and drop to combine the stack of 3 with the 107 and then drag and drop the new stack of 110 back onto the hotbar!! It's insane!

You know, I think I'm going to quit now and wait for 1.1 (or 2.0 would be better).

Also, why no pause button? So when I need to go for a piss I gotta either quit or starve to death? Great.

 

The new hotbar is something unneeded, the older 10-slot hotbar was far better. Unfortunately I've not had the hotbar issues as my client's been so laggy. A pause button would make for an interesting addition.
