Hot and Cold

Starbound is amazing, and, more than it, is the very strange non-buggy beta that I'm playing!

So, in the actual state of the game, the only way to die from heat flow is being in cold areas. I suggest that the opposite be true as well. If you get yourself in hot planets or hot areas or even dig so much that you almost reach the planet's mantle, the temperature bar will tend to the right.
To avoid dying, since there's no way to make a "bonice", the game could introduce a new attribute to the gears, the heat resistance. It could work for both hot and cold regions, helping significantly the heat contention.

The ideal temperature now is going to be in the mid of the temperature bar, with the hottest temperature in the right and the coldest one in the left.
For the sake of simplification, that system wouldn't need a elaborated unit system, but just a scale (can be -10 to 10) that shows how is the temperature in the surface you are or in the average surface of the planet you are looking to.
The ideal temperature could be different for each race, like humans supporting a range of -2 to 2 and avians, -1 to 4. But, again, for the sake of simplification, the ideal temperature range could be equal for all the races.

*The lava could transmit heat too =P

Well, that's my idea. I think it would add a lot in the gameplay experience and in its verisimilitude.

Another interesting thing to be added to the idea is an early game one sided protection. A windbreaker or a fluffy jacket could contain just the cold; and an ice armor, just the heat.
This could make up for the low levels, until is reached the tier which's able to make armors that work both ways (cold and warm).
Ah, the fire, as we have in earth, is an uncommon phenomenon in universe, so some planets not being able to support it is not overstatement. So, making the game progress less dependent of torches and fire pits (for warming up) is a very nice point to be reached in future versions.

And another suggestion: make some planets unable to suit life, be for it being too warm or too cold, for not even having an atmosphere or too poison - although some species could develop the ability to survive there, as Florians. Is strange that all planets, expect gas giants, admit life.
