Hey, it's not all that different from the Theism/Atheism debacles. I mean isn't the bible an old book, granted older than the one this debate focuses but a Book can still be a huge catalyst for change or study in human behaviour or history.

I'll agree the debate is a pointless one that has no real end result, and calling it Truthism is arrogant as all hell, especially when a lot of the facts the book dictates can be proven wrong by modern science.

Mind you I find the debate between Evolution and Creationism also pretty pointless and annoying for the most part, and stating that we know for a fact that either is true is again arrogant, we know fucking squat, and I preferred it when we were complacent to live with the past as a mysterious force that can't be sleuthed instead of pouring money into proving one or the other. The whole kefaffle is incredibly stupid anyway, Theistic groups haven't supported science in the past because they liked having their head in the sand but now they are to prove a point, which sort of goes against the thesis of creationism to begin with.

Honestly I could care less about how we began, neither side of the debacle is more favorable, we're either inbred fucks or ape-like fucks thanks to ancestry, what is the end reward in discovering the truth to our heritage? If we find ourselves to be monkeys will we just start pegging shit at those who thought we were all inbred from two idiots who can't resist temptation or in the other scenario are the inbred theorists gonna start coiling snakes around the ape beleivers or just question why they so heavily pursued the study to find out that we are all super-retarded and fucked ourselves into population literally?

The causes humanity pursues simply to validate the existence or non-existence of a cosmic deity continues to baffle me, I feel like an Alien twice removed from this idiotic rock people call a home.
