Wow compared to the first Phoenix Wright game the second's music is not holding up.

also now you have a perfect excuse to play sr3 again.

there really aren't many advances in the music until dd, where they go orchestra, but there's a few tracks in 2 that are great

most notably the revival one

. i think the main negative point is that they recycled a lot.

 

It would be really cool if Java weren't such a massive pile of shit.

After two hours, four restarts of my computer, and countless reinstallations, I finally have Java working.
I feel like punching all the things

EDIT: More accurately, I now have Java mostly not working, but I got it to allow outdated versions of Java to run!
So now I'll have to reinstall it again after I do this one thing I need this single feature for! Yay!

I don't even work in Java and I could replicate this same sort of response if someone asked me about Java. I haven't programmed in it but I've played enough games made with it to feel validated in poking fun at it, flash also suffers heavily from a gaming standpoint, neither flash or java were designed with gaming in mind and if you don't go to an effort to cache bitmaps and resources it can become a badly optimized mess before you know it.

Application interface is where Java shines. Flash is good for micromanaging in a flash, it's name is quite literal, it's designed towards coding applications that can make tedious processes near instantaneous. (At least thats what I was told, my teacher may have been dead wrong so don't quote me on that.)

However, any coding language can be irritating to set up.

I don't mean Java is hard to code in. It's designed to be easy. As far as I can tell, that is the only reason to use it. Its implementation is garbage.
It is nice that it works exactly the same on all platforms, but that's because Java code does not compile to machine code. Well, not machine code any physical device can understand. Java compiles to code to be run on the Java Virtual Machine, which has to be ported to a device for Java to work. It would be far better to use, for example, C++ and an interpreter on the few machines that cannot natively run it.

Okay so the funniest and stupidest fucking thing happened to me this morning.
First, some background, I have two alarms set for the morning, one at 6am, and one at 7am, and since I had a test this morning I set them each 15 minutes earlier so I could have some time before class to study.
So, I wake up this morning, don't even bother to check the clock, get ready, and go to my class.
The custodian is cleaning the class and says that he's not supposed to let people into the classroom until quarter after 7.
And I'm like but it is after 7.
I look at my phone to see the time.
6:15. I got to class over an hour and a half early.
I had gotten up at my first alarm that went off at 5:45.
Mfw

But anyway that test was easy.

 

Waking up early is the best way to live life.
