It's something I've been meaning to watch, then I started after Ghosty was really surprised I haven't watched it before. It's really good so far.

 

I more than welcome the challenge. I should be honest about something, however...

I did not even ATTEMPT to retain you, because I am honestly more than happy to see you go.

You take issue with some of the most ridiculous things. Seriously, I COPIED your VERY BASIC FLY SKILL?

And you practically flew off the handle because I would not allow you a character with the capability to change elements on the fly at will. And it wasn't because it's a lame and overpowered tactic, but simply because the mechanics of the game-world are not designed to allow it and I'm not changing the fundamental aspects of the world you live in to better suit the way you want to play in it.

And on top of that your attitude when approaching me about potential issues is less than stellar, and that's being nice.

Whether or not you believe an administrator or mod is being unfair or unreasonable, you approach them with the utmost respect and every intent to try and sort out any issues in a calm and reasonable manner. I have since addressed the issue stating that attacks like Kain's lifetaker must require permission from the victim in order to even use.

In short: I am not a terrible admin. YOU, sir, are a terrible PERSON.

I was forced to reply, since T-Dobb decided to make the issue public. I'm more than happy to discuss things personally instead, however. I agree, this shouldn't be a public issue.

1. Not how any admin should handle his players.
2. From what I read out of the chatlog, the fly skill TDOB has has some specific caveats that your fly skill improved upon almost directly. Even if you didn't copy his fly skill (which is probably the one and only thing I'm on your side about), from what I read, TDOB barely even made any fuss about it. He just implied it, slightly, maybe, possibly.
3. Did you say this from the beginning of the proposal? Not from what I read.
4. Your attitude is worse than his by a long shot. Arrogant and knowingly derisive.
5. Would you say the same of the moderators and admins here on the Starbound forum? Most of those guys are awful. I wouldn't treat them with respect until they'd earned it, and you'll probably make some off-handed "I don't care, you're Relinies" comment about this, but you certainly never had my respect.
6. You've got that backwards.

Well, to be perfectly clear, it wasn't my initial plan to make a direct anti-you. It wasn't until I was partially done with it that I realized the character could totally be viewed as such, and scrapped the idea in favour of trying to be a bit more original (and the possibility that such a character would annoy you/make it annoying to RP with me).

There was more to this message but I'll remove it, I just wanted to give a little explanation.

I was being honest, though. I really do welcome the challenge. Sometimes it's interesting to go up against an opponent your exact counter in every way and try to scrape through.

... not always, but sometimes...

You don't have to change your character just because it might be perceived as a hard counter to anyone else.
