Could I get a little help? I downloaded the latest version of this mod and started a new character, got to x sector and still could not get the recipe for the drill to even show up in my bench.

 

You learn it when you pick up a copper drill.

 

Great mod. It makes mining a lot more "futuristic". It would be cool to see this as a laser style as well.

dam so can't use it to pick up anything in furious koala then?

 

The function isn't broken just changed, so I will fix that today. Even if it was broken it wouldn't have been for the entire furious koala patch.

Love this mod, but I gotta ask, why the depth limit?

 

Balance reasons, and also because of the one bug that's still left which makes it look like the drill is levitating.

 

Ahh alright I tried changing it in the config files from 150 to 1500, but either Im doing something wrong or the game won't let it go that far, it drills maybe 10 blocks more down than before o:

 

Oh ok, that might be a world loading issue.

 

Why can i craft the drills for free?
I go in the Tabularasa and there is no recipe for the drills, i can just craft an infinite number.

 

Because I made it that way. Tabula Rasa recipes are free so people can quickly test the drills out. If you want the normal recipe, craft them at the robotic crafting table.
