Curious.. ships look to be getting at least a graphical overhaul starting off. (From the broken down ship image someone posted)
What if there is a ship wipe to introduce the new ship upgrade system?

Just saying.. its beta. Sometimes things will happen while they put stuff in even if you try your hardest to save it.

 

i had a hoard on a planet and wanted to do a picture for it but when i arrived i guess either a meteor hit it or some dude took my stuff

How do I back up a planet? Should I make this my home world? The planet with my Glitch castle is in the Alpha sector.

All of my collected junk.

My instruments.

My wonderful wardrobe.

All my ores and bars.

My greenhouses and plants.

Which to save first?

Do I dismantle my base for the parts?

And most important, how soon? I'm busy dismantling everything and seeing how much I can cram into my ship! "You can't take the sky from me...."

At this point they mine as well do a final wipe of everything since they're adding new quests and stuff as well.

I remember something of a possible final wipe before full release - but I may be mistaken or could have changed.

That said I hope they know what they are doing. Assuring wipe stability during the games most volatile state of growth just seems like a recipe for trouble. If something comes up and they absolutely are forced to for the good of the game then the backlash is likely to be impressive.

 

You forgot that you can fit a chest in the nose of your ship.
