with all of these different ideas, some obscure and others obviously inspired by other works, it is difficult to come up with something that pops out. At first the only thing I was thinking about is "what will get me a gold/silver/bronze star next to my picture on the forums" until I realized that I shouldn't be only focused on winning. The end result of this competition is someone getting their hat into the game, so I figured instead of trying to find something that I would think has a high chance of winning that I may not like, I should put something up that I would really want in the game. I found this perspective much less stressful and more entertaining. So that aside, I present you all the "Hired Servant's Headgear". This headgear was inspired by the headgear that maids and butlers would wear. Hired Servant's Headgear (F): For the maid's headdress I first tried to make the normal frilly black/white headband that maids wear in anime, but it proved difficult to recreate with so few pixels. Then I decided on doing a bonnet sort of hat inspired by the hat that the Scarlet sisters wear from Touhou. Hired Servant's Headgear (M): The Butler's hat was inspired from old fashioned gentleman's hats, sort of like one that may be seen in a Sherlock Holmes movie. The mustache is not necessarily part of the hat, I just like the mustache + old fashioned hat combo. Both hats feature a band of fabric that will have varying color, however the main part of the hat would stay the same color (although possibly tinting the hat slightly to different colors may make interesting effects). Both hats could be worn by either gender for female's that like suit hats or males that like thin fabric white hats, or it could count as a single piece of headgear that appears differently when worn by either gender. These hats are merely the creations of my limited ability to do pixel art. If the concept is used by the devs, hopefully they will be able to improve how they look.
