I picked up some "Metal covered wood" yesterday and got all excited when I unlocked a new recipe but couldn't easily find exactly what I could now build Got me thinking that a temporary "new" tag that appears on items in the crafting menu would be pretty handy. It need only last until you mouse over it for the first time. What do people think? Would this be a good idea?
I had this same issue myself. I unlocked the "Nuts n Bolts" recipe but have no idea where exactly it is. I've browsed through all my crafting, forging, printing, and tech lists and never found anything that seemed to match this recipe name. I fully support this idea! I recently posted a suggestion regarding this in my feedback / rant thread. Here's the exert... " New Blueprints Added - I like that the game tells me that I got new blueprints but I haven't seen anything notifying me of what they are. The longer my craftable item list grows the easier it is for me to pass over a new addition. I'd like to see something indentiying what the new additions are. Perhaps after the message saying that new blue prints were added it could say in a separate message right after that what each blueprint is. Alternatively or additionally there could be some "new" icon or something in the actual crafting list to draw attention to it. Maybe even add a search filter button to filter it so that only the new items are showing. After an new entry on the list has been click on it should no longer be marked as new. "
