Hidden elemental effects?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or intended, but I have a sword that display and electric effect, and when held in the left hand it has the standard electric effect, however when it's held in the right hand it has a poison effect.

A friend of mine has found the exact same thing on one of his two handed weapons, if he left clicks to attack he does lightning, his right click to attack will do poison.

Is this something intentional or a bug?

I think it's a bug related to their implemented code that's supposed to allow alternate weapon usage in the future. They said they put code in for that that isn't really used for anything yet, but it will allow them to add more functionality to weapons in the future. I didn't notice this before the patch. Additionally, 2h weapons can have differing elemental effects depending on weather you swing them with your right or left mouse button.

I'm not certain if it's a bug or not, but I want to say that it might be intended. All two-handed weapons with elemental effects will always have two effects on them.

'Course I'm probably wrong, but still. It's always nice to dream.

Not all, I've had some that do the same thing with both left and right.

Well, they did say that they added a stance for SECONDARY ATTACKS. I just hope this isn't what they had in mind...

Even though it's not implemented yet, this might just be something they left in and forgot about.

It could just be the incomplete implementation of this. it doesn't really hurt anything as is and is actually kinda neat and I wouldn't mind it being a thing. If it becomes one I would just like it to indicate it in the weapon stats. Also some proper indicator of exactly how good a shield is would be nice for those but that's a different matter entirely.
