Hello everyone, my case is also one of those "been reading some posts, voting here, answering there but decided to make a proper introduction now" cases.

So, here it is! I hope to have fun around here with you guys, while we wait for Starbound, I know I am very excited and looking forward to it.
I played Terraria and had my share of fun, I still do sometimes, recently with some renewed motivation, with friends buying the game, invading entering their worlds to build together.
I always wanted a way to bring those worlds together in the same galaxy, universe or server, and seems we will, hopefully, soon have something much better than I ever expected.

Well hia Silvestre! Welcome to the forums of (repeated this a billion times) Starbound!
(I try to spice it up with every other person...)
And yeah, Terraria got a bit old with the whole Wooden>Iron>Silver>Gold>Molten>Drills>Hamdrax, but Starbound will have many different play style options, plus, it's in Space!

 

Heheh, I know how that is, I've been welcoming a lot of people.
I don't think too much about the armor or weapons in Terraria, mostly, I want to get in trouble in different ways to find resources and build structures, true that the armor will help a lot, but sometimes those handy ores make for more interesting tile blocks instead

What do you plan for Starbound? Are you planning to play as an Avian??

I do believe the whole community is eager for the game. Maybe the beta test will be available soon, I don't know if the lack of an exact date is for the better or the worse, imagine the anxiety of counting the days...

 

Yeah, as exciting as Starbound may be, we simply must be patient; I have found that the daily development updates are helping to take off some of the anxiety surrounding the community, and certainly a little bit of my own anxiety as well. :p

 

Sorry for responding late But yes, I do plan on playing as an Avian, for awhile possibly and plan on building a nice cabin in a forest...in an oxygen dome...on the moon...where I have a secret underground base with my riches (which will be sticks by the luck I get on finding treasure)
I'm assuming you'll be playing as a human? Cause that's cool too

Hello again! Good Welcomes! Bright days!

What really made me turn hyper-drive excited mode was the fact that they had a 'Chat Interface' with "Galaxy Chat."

No worries, I may not play as a human, I was interested in the avians too, I had one as my avatar, that I made with the character creation. I hope we can have multiple characters, it will be fun to experiment with them all, and try different playstyles.

That was definitely cool, I used IRC a lot to chat in times long past. Do you mean there will be a galaxy chat, to talk with people across the same galaxy in-game?
