I don't get why everyone is rambling on for a December 2012 release. Have you seen those recent videos, the game does not look at all fully completed at this point, I expect more from a "spiritual" successor to Terraria.

  2. Yep, no rush please! We want a wonderful well-polished product!
Do not succumb the provocations, work quietly.:mindwurm:

Get what you need done, and then release the game.

OP speaks the truth!! Knowing these Devs so far though they wont release an unfinished game.

An unplayable game in December 2012 is much, MUCH worse than a playable game in March 2013

Thankfully most of the community is willing to wait.
I will sit back and occupy myself with other stuff while the devs make the final adjustments.

However the devs want to handle the game's release, I'll support it.

Releasing a beta test... as far as the majority of the gaming community is concerned, as soon as your 'open beta' is out, your game is ripe and ready for review. Tiy had the right idea delaying it, and hearing about a 'sandbox beta release' just kinda made me nervous all over. Don't succumb, guys! This is a good thread. ;oa

I agree completely.I find stupid focusing on release date just to release an unfinished game. When I get my game I want all monsters sounded, all base features included and a finished storyline.I don't want a half-done game just to play it this month...:lod:

I ask them to rush the game, at their own pace. Win/win.

Countless threads of 'I want it to release at (whatever month)' shall end. Seriously, you need to hold back and be patient, keep your socks up, your hair on and stay calm, the game will come when it comes, look around, there's loads of games you can play and threads showing you some to try out. They're here for you.

    I agree with the OP.

  14. I've also seen people demanding an early release, not only in these forums, but in other places as well, such as facebook.

We have to be patient and let the developers keep working on Starbound. :) I am invested in this game and would truly feel disappointed if it were to be rushed/incomplete. Gladly, Chucklefish has said they will take as long as they need to bring us a great product, so I'm not worried.

    Exactly, Keeper is right.
    Again.

Rushing the game will be a massive disappointment, we all know that. It's not only happening on Starbound forums, a lot of other places there have been large demands and incessantly whining, it won't do you anything good, setting a bad example and giving yourself some bad reputation as a member.

So i think ill say someting to. As one of the Defs told us some of them even give up a save and good Job 2 comlete the Game and make it good. The point is this is not a "Ill do it nearby " this is the Financial Future for some of them. Whould you throw out a half complete Game and risk a very bad or bad rating ? only cause you got 2 much pressure from the fanbase?. A fatal reputation as a Developer is very quick set in Stone. No one will ask if the finished Game later is good if the people hear first oh this is a very unready shit it will stay 4 a long time. Be cool and wait YOU would do the same. Im german sry 4 the english if someone find mistakes ... you can keep them ;)

The game looks ready to me, and no one is rushing it.

If there was such ability,I don't know how many unlikes your post would have. But hey, everyone has its own opinion, just criticizing others' isn't good.I have seen forums with dislike button, they were full of flame.
