Here are the upcoming ship-updates

Well, most of them seems too still have their nit-picks about the ships so *shrug*

 

Interesting, but the ships tip just makes the whole thing look awkward the more it grows lol. A robotic cock.

 

It looks more like an arrow than a cock >_> get your mind out of the gutter

 

Some people just see cocks in everything.

 

I've already got a custom ship thanks to the mods, but an internal system I would be all for!

 

Given the current equipment tiers and presumed plan for sector progression, I imagine each ship upgrade will probably come as an optional component of the starmap upgrade that lets you move into new sectors. Killing the Penguin UFO would get you the first ship extension, and presumably part of the Sector X upgrade would be the final addition that adds the expanded bridge. Along with upgrading the ship's engines, you can use the parts from the bosses you kill to expand your ship's cargo space.

Also the wiring backwall is likely placeholder. These images are copypasta proof-of-concept pics. Granted, I really, really hope Tiy plans to let us have the ship expansions very soon. Probably not the next update, but maybe the one after that.

 

I don't like the idea of linear ship upgrades. I wish I could make it shaped like something that reflects what I mean for my character better - a spacious residential ship, a larger cruiser, a practical fighter -- and a variety of shapes would allow that.

 

Well, maybe we will have some option for the ship update. The choice between two or three design ?
I'm waiting some official information about this subject

 

Even though these are just mock ups, their not awful, just too repetitive.

I don't mind them but I also wouldn't mind the player being able to customize their ship as they upgrade, like a different color scheme.

I also wouldn't mind being able to choose a different ship completely, for a price. Like ships that don't look like they belong to any particular race, just their own design and layout.
