Let me preface by saying this is a huuuuuuge WIP and even the most minor, seemingly finished details are subject to change once I get all the basic buildings and background work done! I have a novakid concept I'm playing with for a roleplaying server, basically that he's a bit of an idiot savant, put most things in terms of brewing (brewing anything) and he understands them. Outside of brewing, even the things he's proven knowledgeable in lose all context, and thus, make no sense. BUT I DIGRESS. Heptane's the name, Hooch is the game. From wine, to malt, to mead to alien spirits, you're bound to find it here! The brewery is a bloody maze of pipes and pathways, but there are quaint stops along the way that break the monotony of copper and steam. And soon to be front for railway to the bottom of hooch hill. Hep claims the secret to his brews is from the source of good ole' healin' water his pipes pull from. Still a WIP in many areas, determining what goes where. Basement is a placeholder atm. Elevators, or rails will be employed for floors, but that's a final touch as far as I work. Where Hep goes to concoct his harebrained schemes and potentially explosive new brews. The rest of the buildings are stepped down the side of the mountain, but I'm slowly laying them out at present. For reference, the server does use Frackin' Universe, which is good fun for additional building materials, I enjoy it. I'll update the thread as I go. BONUS: THE CHICKENING OF HOOCH HILL. . . Legend has it, a long time ago (a modest handful of years, despite tall tales) when Hep Senior established Hooch Hill and laid the first brick upon its summit, a great cluck sounded from deep in the belly of the mountain. Hep Senior thought nothing of it and so, he continued his work, one brick at a time, mortar, brick... mortar, establishing the facade of the entry with a great deal of patience. Again it sounded. B'GAWWWWWWW. This time it was closer and was echoed by countless clucks and an airy groaning that could only have been the poufing flap of many feathered wings in narrow tunnels and open caverns that had made the mountain a paragon of the swiss cheese effect. Hep Senior was rightfully disquieted, but like the nose to the grindstone, salt of the earth gasbag he was, he continued his work. When he stirred the next morning, the pungent odor of chicken crap was so intense that Hep shot from his tent and found. . . HUNDREDS OF CHICKENS. JUST A CRAPTON OF UNNECESSARY CHICKENS. EVERYDAY THE CHICKENS' NUMBERS GREW. So many chickens, every chicken. He came at them with gas, with blade and arrow, with bullets and the only thing that stopped them was genocide by lava and a cave in that quieted the caverns beneath Hooch Hill forever.... But rumor has it, that deep in the dark depths of the planet, those who survived the mass murder by liquid fire, are biding their time, waiting for their time of vengeance. For. . . THE CHICKENING PART DEUX.
yeah? I don't remember that, I've only played off and on over the years since I bought it (first wipe really killed my enjoyment, repeating advancement was a pain.) I just love building.
I remember a thread mentioning it early on. I think it was rare..could be mistaken. Wish you could brew your own
