Hi everyone! I am okay, but my friend is super upset because they lost two family members recently :c

I also had an idea for a one-button racing game. I imagined it as horse racing, but other types could apply. You press the button to go forward, but it costs energy - if you press it too much you'll run out of energy. After the second press, subsequent presses get an energy discount based on how regularly you are pressing. The more regular your rhythm, the cheaper it costs, encouraging players to choose a single speed and stick to it. The energy will regenerate at a fluctuating rate that changes each race (but is the same for all racers). You have to balance your rhythm with the energy regeneration without overtaking it. If you overtake it, you will not be able to afford maintaining your rhythm - and if you do not maintain your rhythm, it becomes harder to maintain, causing it to spiral out of control, costing the player precious time.
