Thanks Wafflebro :) Money is actually not the issue here, time is. I still have a career to focus on, and so does she.

You should make a plan during the summer. Just set aside a month for each other.

A month is difficult. I'm in uni and have mandatory courses unfortunately.

That's what we're working on. Good thing I don't need a visa to visit the US for that timescale.

Are you visiting the U.S or is she coming up?

We don't know yet, but I'll pay the tickets anyway. We are both pretty conservative on gender roles (I think I signed my own death warrant by saying this), so in our eyes the man is the provider. It's kinda difficult - I want to visit the US, she wants to visit Germany. Depending on how my financial situation develops we might just do both.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! Welcome to 'Merica! Which region are you coming to?[

    If you're GF is going:

Take me with you, I want some real waffles!

    Pacific Northwest(pick one, there's only 2)

    Why do you ask?

    For that that'd be Belgium.

    I'm so sorry...

I know, but taking a plane to Germany, then driving the Belgium is faster than swimming there!

True, and there are no border controls between EU states. I actually live relatively close to the Belgian, Dutch and French borders.
    Why?

I'm Surenu, do you know how much crazy stuff has gone down in my life? Texas has nothing on me ;)

On a completely unrelated note: I am around 62 attoparsecs tall.

Fun fact for @Hel : There exists a humorous unit of measurement called Helen, which is used to measure beauty and called after Helen of Troy whose "face launched a thousand ships". Therefore, one Helen is the amount of physical beauty necessary to launch a thousand ships. There are also some conversions:

What the Hel? When did this start existing?

"The classic reference to Helen's beauty is Marlowe's lines from the 1592 play The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus, "Was this the face that launched a thousand ships / And burnt the topless towers of Ilium?"[1] In the tradition of humorous pseudounits, then, 1 millihelen is the amount of beauty needed to launch a single ship.

According to The Rebel Angels, a 1981 novel by Robertson Davies, this system was invented by Cambridge mathematician W.A.H. Rushton. However, the term was possibly first suggested by Isaac Asimov.[2]"
