I found the new thread. Even though I posted on the old one about once, I found this one.

 

Similar or not, they are separate notions. Meaning I can agree with one while condemning the other.

You think I'm naive? Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinions. I think I simply do not share the same infatuation with cynicism as some internet types do. If that did you good, well good for you.

That does not invalidate my point about basic survival instincts. And survival instincts does not drive you to seek safety for safety's sake. Safety is ALSO a means to last longer as a species. But it alone cannot guarantee it.
