Closed HELP!!

HELP ME! I just built my new computer that wont run starbound because it cant create a HAL device, what do I do!!??

 

Need more info.

 

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

 

Holland America Line? This isn't really the place to talk about cruises, even though Starbound just released ocean biomes.
Halliburton? We stopped talking about them not too long after Enron disappeared from the news and Joe Biden became vice president.

Either way, you should consider looking and/or posting in the support forums, because they will be able to help you much better than we would in general discussion. There might even be a sticky post about installation issues.

Please provide your system specs and full logfile contents of Starbound:

a) Insert the content of your starbound.log (located in the Starbound\giraffe_storage folder you may search for) with tags around the content like: [spoiler=Logfile][code] the Logfile content goes here [/code][/spoiler]
That way the content is displayed without turning some strings to emoticons and is indexable by the search engines.

Assuming you are on Windows:
b) Start > "eventlog" (return) > "userdefined views" > Administrative Events (maybe similar):
Please post the last Error(s) of Starbound / launcher if any (insert with tags the same way as the logfile content).

c) Start > "dxdiag" > Save all information and upload the file here.


(If you encounter problems with posting the content or uploading the dxdiag file please say so. The board may prevent you from posting several things before you got more than two posts.)
