HELP STARBOUND CRASH E3

Indeed. Starbound's been building its indie following for quite some time, especially following up after Terraria to make a better, more awesome version than that. Most of these others I'm seeing are either brand new or I've never heard much of them before.

Fortunately, we're competing for top 10, so it's not like we're denying every single one on that front page, which is good . (though #1 gets super benefits)

 

On one hand, more publicity for Starbound would be good.
On the other, E3 has never been less relevant.

I am probably going to vote later, when I'm in less pain, less angry, and less tired.

 

Everyone who's been complaining about E3 please just shut up.
No offense but we really don't care about your personal thoughts on the expo, it's about helping the game's name and the team, it's got nothing to do with you.
I think it's kinda selfish of the people who're saying they won't vote just because they don't like E3...

Er... maybe, we don't actually know yet, but when I get the Beta I'll happily be proved wrong.

 

Though it would be grand to get it out there, because any extra press is good press. Like Yogscast, Totalbiscuit, OMFGcata, Dodger, Day[9]?, etc. etc. etc. The masses will come to the threads, and when they see there's nothing to actually play, the mature ones will hopefully be the primary group that stays to wait.

 

honestly, if somehow by chance, this game flops and it's awful..... I'd still play it and would have enjoyed the time spent waiting, grueling next to my computer waiting for updates; getting all my friends to buy it, and having tons of fun on the forums. At this point, i'm just happy i got to be here for the ride

 

Oh dear. I'd completely forgotten about the entitled kiddies that think everything should be handed to them immediately and without fault. I really do hope we don't get too many of those... 'None' would be less wishful thinking and more hoping for a miracle.

I do believe Total is getting an early copy anyway and I wouldn't be surprised if there are others as well. Tiy seems to pretty much have it all planned out, so while E3 could be very beneficial, they might not actually need it, even more so with a trailer right around the corner. Heck, they're less than 75% away from a million bucks, I think they'll be fine for a few months, E3 would just be a bonus (and, as long as they're eligible, they got that in the bag).

 

He definitely is, along with Jesse; I made sure to highlight their names, because if they spotted Chuckle at E3 they'd probably be first in line to promote the shit out of that for their co-op series. (which is going to be soooo much fun to watch ). I'm also interested in how they plan to go about making the trailer, as it does take a stroke of genius to put out a good one with the game they're making, considering Notch never really was able to accomplish that and relied on external experts to put one out.

Oh, that's going to be a toughie, play Starbound or watch as the YouTubers fumble around making crazy and awesome everythings, and I really want to see this trailer too, it'll be really cool to see Tiy pull off something not even Notch could do.

 

Judging them, if they're not streaming their co-op together (highly doubt), the videos will be a minor hindrance to our game-time ^o^.

(As it turns out, it looks like Minecraft is kicking in DRM features to their login screen as of their recent updates.... :L.)

 

Wait. Whats DRM again? Im hazy on what that is.

 

It's probably because of Realms and the fact that so many people pirate/grief/act a fool in Minecraft MP, so I can't really blame them for implementing some form of DRM.

 

Digital Rights Management, I believe, it basically gives companies the right to "protect" their licenses.

And how does this exactly affect my MC experience? I wont have to add any more login things will I?
