Modding Discussion [HELP] Game Crashes during Stardew Valley Fair

Hi Everyone ! So I was playing normally but once I tried to enter the town to participate in the Stardew Valley Fair, the screen turned completely black. The game didn't close but it completely stopped responding.

I checked my Stardew Modding API Console and it said :
Error loading "fall_town". File not found.
Error loading "Content\fall_town.xnb". File not found.

What I understand is that I might lack the fall_town.xnb
I must have erased it by mistake.

Could anyone send me their fall_town.xnb, pretty please ?

Now I'm crashing when I talk with the Fortune Teller.
It went like this :

But then it crashes before the third box of dialogue can appear. I've redone this 2 times and it's always right before the 3rd box of dialogue...

Here's what the console says :

 

Have you tried talking to the Fortune Teller without SMAPI enabled + with/out a clean (unmodded) save? That's a quick way to see if you have a mod conflict.

I'm pretty sure that 'Cooking Skill' is the issue, though...The last part of Miss Cleo's dialogue will mention your skills, but since one of yours is imaginary... :D

 

- The cheat menu is outdated, update that (While it is unlikely to be related to this issue, you never know...)
But yeah, the issue looks to be with the cooking skill and a value not being where the game expects it to be.

 

Is the fortune teller's name really Ms. Cleo? That hilarious, I never caught that reference.

 

^Nah, that's all head-canon. Welwick (her real name) just doesn't quite have the same ring to it. :)

 

Sounds like a last name, therefore I hereby dub her Miss Cleo Welwick!

 

When you're referring to the cheat menu, do you mean the SMAPI ? It's up to date (0.40.1.1)
I removed the mod but the issue still occurs. Does that mean that my save's screwed and that I won't ever be able to have my fortune told ?

 

Cheat menu is referring to CJB's Cheat Menu I believe. But the "Cooking Skill" mod seems to be the real issue. Either get an update or report a bug report to the mod author.
