I'm just another person impatiently waiting on Starbound. There's probably nothing too interesting below, but if you want to know more about how I arrived here, read on. Otherwise good to meet you all. It has been a long journey but one of the first computer games I ever played was Commander Keen. Then I went from sidecrollers like Keen, Secret of Monkey Island, and Hugo I,II, III(and of corse the classic NES/SNES console games) to 3D fps games like Wolf3D, Doom, Duke3D, Delta Force(I,II), Operation Flashpoint, and lately the ARMA series. Over time I have found what I really want in games is the ability to explore and interact with the game world. This initially caused me to get into racing games , namely the Need for Speed series (the originals) and eventually GTA 3. Operation Flashpoint and GTA 3 were in my opinion revolutionary steps toward true sandbox gaming and if you haven't, I recommend you try them out. My next step was the inevitable black hole that was World of Warcraft which held my interest like Super Glue for 4+ years before it began to wear on me. In the most recent years games like Portal (1 and 2), minecraft, garry's mod, and of course terraria have grasped my interest. So here we are...full circle back to sidescrolling retro style games. Something the market has lacked for quite some time. And add in to all that box of sand. PS: The similarities beetween Commander Keen and this are striking.

Never really got into rts too much. I usually end up getting one or two buildings built in the same amount of time the AI or other player has built a massive base and sent a massive army to wipe out my polulation of 3 or 4 workers.
