Cuchilain (Koo-Chill-Lane) I saw this game on an obscure news post a while back, close to a year now, when i was looking at the update news on terraria. I browsed the story got excited then quickly forgot it seeing as it was far off in development. Just a day or two ago, i was hard in on a terraria game gunning for hardmode and cobalt, and i decided to tell a friend what i was up to and why the game was so engrossing. While telling him about it i mentioned i had read and seen a space version where you could essentially travel space strip mining planets for what you needed and moving on. Low and behold you are mentioned in IGNs top 50 pc only games for this year. I immediately bookmarked your page and signed up for the forums, and i am incredibly excited to see whats gone on in the last year. Painting? sweet! Mechs and possibly other vehicles? NICE!! (one way or another im getting a hoverboard in this game!!! even if i have to mod it in!) I cant wait. im gonna take a couple hours to peruse the forums and see what i can learn, then i intend to keep a sharp eye for any price points and release info.
Since you already know quite a bit about Starbound, my only job here is to greet you... So... uhm... Greetings!
Best game ever. I just added mods to terraria, but only the promise of Starbound can keep me living for another sunny day! lol im jk, but definitely got me more stoked than the AAA releases this year. More than GTA V, Crysis, or Bioshock.
First off, welcome to the forums Cuchilain. I have been looking forward to Starbound since last year, and in my mind it blows any AAA release out of the water. The problem with AAA games is they are just seeking your money, and they lose their creative purpose for the game. Starbounds developers seem very set on making a game they are happy with, and something their fans can be happy with, not just looking to make a quick buck. I salute the developers and any other developers out there who hold to this standard. Now that I have made a long post where it really isn't needed, I will take my leave. So to you Cuchilan I hope you enjoy your time exploring space! (Now where did the space lobsters wander off to this time..)
