Modding Help Heavy fps drop when using only SMAPI

So i downloaded smapi and launched it without mods to test it and it works fine, except for the fact that my fps goes from a steady 60 to fluctuating between 20-40. Any help would be appreciated, and i would be happy to provide any files or logs if needed. This is on the open Beta.

Edit: solved, my pc automatically ran smapi on my secondary processor, used to run browsers and such, instead of my nvidia gpu, used to run games. I manually changed it and it works fine.

 

What program are you using to measure your FPS?

 

Just my eyesight, i can't confirm it's half, but that's what it feels like at least. I use task manager to measure CPU use, which is at 80-85% while using smapi, and 25-30% usually.

Strange, I dont see anything abnormal in the log that would explain such a radical difference in CPU usage, going to ping @Pathoschild to see if he can help you with this.

 

I think they fixed it with some tweaking from Pathos on Discord.
