Planets environments are hazardous places. There is gas everywhere and you never know what is toxic. many materials can give off radiation and different places can be just too hot for a person to survive. But you can get past these obstacles with your technolegy. HEAT Temperatures are invisible to the naked eye so to see heat better, you need Thermal goggles. These goggles allow you to see differences in areas of heat and areas that are cold. Certain gases that were invisable can now be seen as well. These gases that are seen with thermal would normally be dangerous and melt your skin off. So nowthat you can tell whats hot and whats not, when you find hot gases using thermal you can collect the gas and use it for making all kinds of things. TOXINS now gases wont always just be hot or cold, they can also be toxic. you could walk into what looks like a lush open plain and find out the plain is empty because its filled with poisonous air and choke to death. your suit will of course protect you from the toxic enviroments but not for long. so you will need to know where it is. similar to heat, the goggles should be able to be switched to a setting that shows the amount of hazardous gas in the air. This type of view will tint everything toxic green and everything nontoxic bluish. There could also be a meter that appears on the side of the screen telling you how much time you have before the gasses damage your suit. Radiation rocks and minerals, plants and animals can all give off radiation, radiation could be seen using the same goggles as toxins and appear yellow on the screen. Minerals that give off radiation will damage you if you go too close to them or touch them. radioactive materials will however decay over time due to half-life and therefore radioactive materials should become very useful resources because they are difficult to acquire. Your suit keeps you safe With all the different hazardous things in the environment your suit will be what keeps you safe. so the better armor the longer you can withstand radiation, heat, and toxic gasses.
sounds more annoying than fun. Having to wear a suit to survive would be kind of frustrating, but as something rare, it would be tolerable.
