Hay, just a quick question from someone new.

    Blankness Void-Bound Voyager

So me and my friends downloaded the demo and just loved it! We're all going to buy the full game without question. :)

When we were looking at the price however we decided to buy a non-beta 4 pack, well we're going to buy it, but the problem is that money will have to change hands between us.(Not the first or the last time) So we were wondering that if we bought the game would we be able to play it, without a doubt by August 31st or atleast get the download keys.

I know this question has MUST have been asked before but your forums seem to be a little spartan.

Is there an official release date already? I am completely unaware of it.

As far as the current progress goes: the game is very much 'done' as it is now - you can play it fine and there are only little bugs (though still enough to postpone a final release!) to be found. However, looking at what they promised to create for the game and what is in there right now, it seems the game is still very far from completion. There are no Game Mutators yet, it is uncertain how many new items, characters and stages we will have, they are currently working on online multiplayer, I think not all the music has been added yet (which further speculates there is still more content to come) and there are more factors that make me believe that what we currently have is still a game in its infancy compared to what this will grow out to be.

So that leads me to believe there is absolutely no chance of the game being completed by the end of August. However, these developers are very productive - they're pushing patches and updates, new versions and more and more content very quickly and the game itself was already done when it comes to base mechanics after only two months of development.
I do not know if the devs plan to update the game further as it is released, or if they're building it up to its full state and then releasing it. I would assume the latter. And that may take some time.

But I am not their PR man. You will have to wait for their own reply on this. ;)

Yeah the current version is 0.30.6.1.1 which is very far from 1.0 but if you can afford the 25 bucks it might be worth the beta price as you and your friends could test the online mp that is super fun!

Oh, I guess we'll all just wait till full release then.

Kinda werid since they put that date on the pre-orders but it doesn't really matter.
          Thanks.

Well to be fair, online co-op wasn't initially a goal and it meant the actual release date had to be postponed to an unknown point, if I recall.

Or it's quite possible that once the main mechanics, classes, items etc.. get into the game it will be released on time(ish?) while online play might remain in alpha or beta and the other features like arena mode, mutators and such will be added post release. But this is all just speculation.

The release was set for august 2013 when they started the preorders. But, at that time they weren't planning on adding online multiplayer. Because online multiplayer effectively requires them to redo the game's code to make it online compatible, they have to push the game's release back. Though, as someone who has been playing, the beta release is worth way more than the cost. I have gotten more time out of this game than most others, and the online multiplayer is like a whole separate game (especially when you figure out how to make the player cap higher than four ;)).

I've had games of up to 300 minutes, this game is so addicting. If that kind of time isn't worth your money, I'm not sure what is.

Yeah I've shown my co worker some gameplay and he thought I was crazy for spending 25$ for it but I say he is crazy. Plus the current beta is a gillion times better than the demo, if you like the demo, the game even in it's current state will blow your mind. But if you really don't want to get into the beta then maybe you could try the alpha version from indiedb. It has many more items than the demo version actually. I think it is still available and I always preferred it to the demo.

You should show him some of the gameplay from my streams joey :p. Granted that is also the online coop which has things missing for testing purposes and because they aren't ready for online yet but still.
