Modding Discussion Has there been any luck in creating a custom Festival or is it a mod too far?

I have seen people adding custom characters to festivals and events, but in my searching have yet to see anyone creating their own festival on a separate date to the other.

Has anyone attempted this? Has there been any sort of success? Or is Stardew's nature due to how it's packed, just not able to be modded to that extend without a huge effort?

Any information would be appreciated as usual

 

It is quite possible to do, it is just a lot of work in both the xnb and SMAPI side of things, and there are few if any modders good at both, so it needs collaboration in order to make this possible.
