Has Running Speed Been Increased?

    I don't know if I'm just crazy, but to me it seems like either running speed has been increased or character/camera movement is smoother.

    If anything I listed above has been changed, then well done Chucklefish!

    If nothing I listed above has been changed, then feel free to disregard this/spam memes.

    I can't tell tbh. I started a new character right off when the hotfixes were done and played it mostly this entire time. Everything seemed slower because that's just how it is in the beginning, but now that you mention it, maybe you are right. If it did change, it's barely noticeable. And if so, I agree, well done :D

    I noticed things were a bit, speedier, or smoother... it's hard to be my finger on it... however I am still disappointed how every planet for some mysterious reason has low gravity, up until the point you reach a research lab or prison where it somehow has localised increased gravity so jumping feels normal. I imagine universe-wide low gravity will be fixed and planets in future will have varying degrees of it?

    I dunno, my home planet (desert planet on the Alpha sector) has pretty high gravity all around.

    I've seen very very very few planets that exist. Probably the entire time I've played this game, I'd wager I've played on one planet that has what we'd consider, normal gravity. More varied levels of gravity would be nice. Low gravity planets, "normal" gravity and perhaps fewer high gravity planets, making double jump and energy dash extremely useful.

    I definitely felt my avian ran a tad faster - but perhaps it was the "tech" bonus from the raven armour? I'm not sure.

    Sometimes feels different, almost as if the FPS for the background moves faster. Maybe that is it? :wut:

    I do wish walking speed was a bit slower. Even with shift held, walking to the edge of a block usually results in me flying off lol. :(

    Yeah, I think that walking speed has been increased. I was on a high gravity planet and I ran incredibly fast. I couldn't jump more than two blocks though :(

    It feels like they did some optimization. All of the animations seem to run more smoothly. I noticed the robotic tables animation was way less clunky than before.

    What I've always found, even before the recent changes, is that when walking, even if I'm like 2-3 blocks away from a ledge, holding shift and tapping A or D or whatever direction I need to go, will result in me walking off said ledge and plummeting however far the drop must go. It's not much of a walk really.

    There's running? I thought it was the hold-shift snail pace or the "I'm slightly in a hurry but not really in a hurry" pace.

    Kinda wished we had an actual run function and just used the Food bar as stamina.

    Yah I know that. I literally said that.

    But really the "running" isn't really much of a run. It's more of like a slight hurry.

    Need Shift-Walk to function like Minecraft's where it stops you before a ledge.

    unlike terraria, this game just lets you walk up/down a block in height w/o having to jump. I think i'd prefer the current way, just make walking more as if you were wearing shoes with suction cups on the soles or something.

    Terraria fixed that quite a few patches ago!

    Also I didn't mean ALL WALKING, just the SHIFT-DIRECTIONAL WALKING. Y'know the one that slows you down? The sorta slow down walk. Would be nice if I just wanna move a tad over to this ledge to get in hookshot range w/o tappng a direction and leaping to my doom.
