Has anyone Used A Dungeon As Their Home?

im just wondering because i just found a huge glitch dungeon made from Metal plates and might make it as my characters home

 

I've thought about using an Apex Lab or one of those more advanced labs with Matter Block generators, but I never really remembered to write down the coordinates for them.

I might consider it if I don't feel like building something again.

Maybe another time. Kinda busy with other games at the moment.

Personally, I like using dungeons as a home or outpost. Saves me the trouble of building from scratch and hunting down decorations.

I believe that once you clear a dungeon out, the enemies don't respawn and mobs do not spawn on the dungeon blocks, so go for it I guess. The problem would be if the dungeon was far from your planet spawnpoint since there's no way to change where you warp in from as of now (I think). I always just use my ship as a base though.

 

well the good thing is there is a room just below the spawn that connects to the dungeon so ill just dig down. isn't having the ship as a base rather small?

 

While the ship doesn't have much space, it's something you can always go back to no matter what happens, making it an effective mobile base.

 

You may not have the room to slap decorations everywhere, but there's plenty of room for all your crafting stations, a bed, and lots of chests to store things if you divide it into levels with wooden platforms. While it lacks in flair, it's perfectly practical.

 

I suppose with the wall storage and possibly putting crates on platforms. Do you have a proper base? Not on the ship
