Has anyone heard the status of whether or not there will be another universe wipe?

I was just curious about it, and I have yet to see anybody talking about it. Maybe i've completely missed where it was discussed, but I would like to know before I start building some massive base. I realise the game is still in progenitor, but how long is it going to be in this phase? It's been over a year since the game came out and the "quickest and fastest updating phase" has lasted this long. I fear what the other phases will be like, but hopefully the progression will keep up.

 

I believe if you play stable universe wipes do not happen. I think it is only in the unstable/nightly builds that this can happen.

I have little doubt that there will be at least 2 more. Maybe someone will have written a transplant program by then.

There was one when UG was released. Or more specifically the old universe still exists, but is completely inaccessible.

 

I sure hope so, the only build I ever play is the stable and it's gone through around 5 wipes now if I remember right. I realise that there will be wipes but having wipes a year after development seems to be a bit much

 

In Unstable, in certain situations, the planets may reset, but the universe itself doesnt. Not sure if that applies to Stable aswell, i believe not since most universe changes affect non discovered planets only.

 

Considering how long it took for this recent stable update to be released, and the size of it... I'd be surprised if another stable update was released with such content that required a universe wipe so soon after. Just an educated guess, but I'd wager you've probably good a solid few months at the least to go wild with your building.
